The Unity Spirit Team
If you love Unity-centered events or just want to get more involved in our Unity community, the Unity Spirit Team needs you! Spirit Team members will post information online and in their communities about the workshops and retreats happening on our beautiful 1,400-acre campus. Best of all, for each event you help promote, you will receive free admission to an event plus a discount on meals and lodging.
Sign up for the Unity Spirit Team to help spread the word about the workshops and retreats available at Unity Village. All you need is a printer and a Facebook account to get started. Then you are on your way to receiving free admission to a Unity Village event of your choice!
Join the Unity Spirit Team
Unity Spirit Team volunteers can receive free admission to any Unity-sponsored retreat or event—plus a discount on lodging—just by spreading the word about one of our events online and in your community.
Congregants and friends of these participating Unity churches and centers are eligible to volunteer for the Spirit Team:

Note: Spirit Team members must have a Unity church or center in their community. Membership is limited to one person per congregation per retreat.
What You Need to Do
Ministers at participating churches receive one Spirit Team pass for each Unity Village event. To volunteer for the Spirit Team, contact your minister or email@example.com. (Be sure to provide us with your name, the name of your minister, and the event you wish to promote.)
Note: Ministers are free to ask for volunteers or to choose Spirit Team members from their congregations.
All Unity Spirit team volunteers need to have:
- A digital camera (a phone camera is just fine).
- A Facebook account.
- Access to a printer.
To receive your free admission and discounted meals/lodging, you need to complete the following tasks at least one month prior to the event:
Print and trim a minimum of 60 event flyers (total) or three event posters and distribute them to at least three locations in your community. Suggested locations include Centers for Spiritual Living, organic/health food stores, yoga studios, spas, health clubs, community centers, music stores, bookstores, coffee shops, gift shops, boutiques, libraries, cafés, schools or colleges—in short, any place spiritual seekers are likely to frequent.
Photograph the materials at the locations and share on Facebook. Join the Unity Spirit Team Group on Facebook and post your photos to the wall. You can also share your experiences and any tips you have with other Spirit Team members on the group page.
Print and arrange for flyers to be distributed with your church or center’s weekly service bulletin. Work directly with your minister or the appropriate contact at your church.
Post online before the event at least twice. Comment, link or share about the event on your blog, website, personal Facebook page, or Unity church Facebook page—or any site where spiritual seekers are likely to gather. Just be sure to tag your post with @Unity.
How to Request Free Admission and Meals/Lodging Discount
The Unity Village Facebook team will track your postings on the Unity Spirit Team Group to verify that you have performed all of the required tasks.
To request your free admission and discounted meals/lodging, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 816-251-3589, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CT).
Spirit Team volunteers attending weekend retreats can receive discounted lodging. Note: Restrictions apply. King suites are excluded from this offer. Rooms are subject to availability. Advance reservation is required. IDs must be presented at check-in.
There is no limit on the number of times you can be a Unity Spirit Team volunteer.
Spirit Team free admissions and discounts are also transferable. Just email email@example.com with the:
- Name of the person who will be using the free admission and meals/lodging discount.
- His or her address or phone number.
The event the person will be attending.
Unity Spirit Team and Group Discounts
Looking to stretch dollars on your group visit to Unity Village? Combine your Spirit Team free admission with a Unity Village group discount.
Parties of 10 or more who register for any Unity Village retreat or workshop automatically receive one free admission—in other words, buy 10 admissions and the 11th is free. If one group member volunteers for the Spirit Team, you can buy 10 admissions and get two for free!
